Actress Katrina Kaif, who is back in the city after almost a month, set tongues wagging when she was seen attending a recent event sporting a bandage patch on her leg. While some claimed it to be a tattoo that she was hiding, others insisted that she was shooting and probably forgot to take off the bandage before coming to the book launch. However, a source close to the actor reveals that the bandage was actually to cover up a burn that she suffered while shooting in London.
“Nobody knows about this because Katrina didn’t go around talking about it to one and all. Injuries on sets do happen, but she doesn’t believe in making a big issue about it,” says the source. Talking about the injury, the insider reveals that it was while shooting for the Yash Chopra film with actor Shah Rukh Khan in London that she was hurt.
“She was sitting on a bike, and when the bike tilted a little more than expected, the silencer, which was very hot, brushed against her skin. It was extremely painful, but she insisted on carrying on the shoot, dismissing her injury. It was only later, when the skin turned raw and the pain became unbearable that she went to the doctor to avoid any complications of the burn getting infected,” added the source.
Meanwhile, the actor who has returned home after an extremely hectic month-long schedule in London finds herself having to juggle all her meetings and shoots with catching up with her friends here. “All her friends have been complaining that Kat’s not being in touch with them for quite some time now. Even though she’s back now, she’s busy as ever and hardly finds the time to socialise or spend quality time with her friends,” reveals a source.
The actress was first away shooting for Ek Tha Tiger before plunging into her romantic flick with SRK and now is also getting into a fitter shape to play a gymnast in Dhoom 3. “She was busy rehearsing, shooting for films and ads, attending script reading sessions and other meetings all of last year. And this year she’s probably trying to break her own record by being all the more busy,” adds the source. “I’m here to work, and if that’s what’s keeping me busy, why should I complain?” Katrina had earlier said, when asked about her hectic schedules.
