‘Supergirl’ Kangna Ranaut has a busy scheduleActor Kangana Ranaut who is flitting between the shoots of Krrish 3 and Shootout At Wadala, says she still has three projects to complete before she starts shooting for the sequel of her 2011 film, Tanu Weds Manu. Of the three, one is Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, but she refuses to talk about the other two.

“The filming of Shootout At Wadala and Krrish 3 is going on simultaneously. So we start the Tanu Weds Manu sequel next year because I have to finish three other projects before that. There is one film with Viacom 18 and there is a suspense thriller with another production house,” says the National Award-winning actor, who turned 25 yesterday.

Because of a contractual compulsion, Kangana refuses to talk about her new projects. “You know how they (the production houses) are. They have certain strategies in mind before launching new projects. And they really don’t want their actors to reveal anything,” she says.

Proud of being the first ‘supergirl’ of the Hindi film industry, Kangana says the whole process of getting into the skin of this action character for Krrish 3, has been quite taxing. “The role was very challenging because I had to exercise a lot to get in shape,” she says.

Kangana’s role in In Shootout At Wadala, on the other hand, is completely different from her character in Krrish 3. In Shootout... she portrays the real life character of a girl who was intensely in love with gangster Manya Surve (played by John Abraham). “She is a simple girl who works as a receptionist. Though it’s a very hard hitting action film revolving around three or four guys, my character has equal importance,” says Kangana.

While many actors eventually become producers, Kangana has been talking about her interest in direction for a couple of years now. “I will take up direction because I want to make stars and I have lots of stories to tell,” says the actor. Ask if she has already started working on her directorial debut, and Kangana says, “Right now, I am very young and want to act. I am waiting for the right time.”
