Aamir Khan is nothing if not a master strategist. Previously, Mr Perfectionist Khan has been in the news for his innovative promotion of films like Ghajini, but for his new TV show, he is going a step further.
A source close to the actor informs us that Aamir is keeping close tabs on the shows that other channels intend to run at the same time slot as his. “It’s not fear or insecurity,” our source adds. “It’s just Aamir’s way of working. He likes to be well-informed.” Whatever the motivation, it certainly seems to be a step no other Bollywood actor appearing on television has thought to take before.
“Since it’s a reality show, Aamir wants to ensure that there is nothing with similar or competing content on the other channels that can take attention away from his work,” an aide of Aamir’s said. “After postponing the show earlier this year, Aamir is back to pushing it aggressively.” Recently, it was also reported that Aamir has requested the brands he endorses not to advertise during the commercial breaks in his show.
