Fashionista Sonam Kapoor feels women work really hard while taking care of their families and thereby, end up not looking after themselves. Says the youth style icon, “I believe in the slogan ‘You are worth it’ and stand by it completely. Women should feel strong and empowered. They are worth it!”
The actor admits that she constantly reminds her mother, sister and all the other women she meets that the ‘weaker sex’ is strong and deserves the best. “Women are an irreplaceable part of society. Today, most of us are independent individuals who have made a niche for ourselves in the world we inhibit,” says Sonam, who is the brand ambassador for L’Oreal.
Prod her on her ‘worth’ and Sonam says that being an Indian woman is her biggest asset. She is gearing up to join the shoot of Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s bio-pic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and is all excited to be a part of south superstar Dhanush’s Hindi debut. Ask her about plans and she laughs, “I am too young to plan.”
