Actor John Abraham, who recently hurt himself while shooting for an action sequence in an upcoming film, is not letting his injury slow him down. And according to sources, the actor has requested filmmaker Sanjay Gupta to not make any changes in the shoot schedule to avoid causing any sort of inconvenience to the other co-stars including Anil Kapoor. But while there are a few days before he resumes shoot for the action flick, he was meanwhile slated to shoot for his special item song in his own production Vicky Donor.
Says a source, “John was to shoot the item song over two to three days in Filmcity, after which he was to resume the shoot for Shootout At Wadala. And though he suffers from a hairline fracture on the side of his left foot, he is refusing to slow down at all and has insisted to carry on the shoots.” Another insider adds that postponing the shoot of the item song would mean rescheduling his dates for his other films and John didn’t want to do that and has gone ahead with the song’s shoot. “John reported on the sets well on time yesterday to finish the first shoot of the song,” informs the insider.
When asked, John reluctantly admits to it. “Yes, but I don’t want to talk about it and sound like a martyr. Of course it hurts, but to be honest, I’ve been through worse pain. Besides, I don’t want shoots, including the song for my own film, to get disrupted because of me, so yes, I’ll be shooting on schedule,” he says.
