With the awards season currently dominated by awards that honour stars for excellence in cinema, the Ghanta Awards dishes out trophies to the worst of the movie season, the most poorly constructed movies, most wooden actors and actresses, and the worst rip-offs. And as one would expect, Bollywood stars don't turn up to collect their awards. But Sonam Kapoor, who was nominated for 'WTF Was That' category along with Shahid Kapoor for Mausam, played the sport to the hilt and attended the Ghantas.

She won, collected the award and tweeted about it: 'Was @theghanta awards. What a talented bunch of writers and actors! Great show guys.' Anurag Kashyap, on the other hand, joked about not winning one. 'I am still at the bengaluru airport.. which was shut down all day.. missed the GHANTAS.. who won.. @theghantas even the GHANTAS are rigged.. mujhe kabhi award nahi milega..' he tweeted.

Gul Panag, who was nominated in Worst Actress category, also joked about not winning and tweeted: 'I am heart broken.'
