Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who has made films such as Heyy Babyy and Housefull, is ready for his next directorial outing in the form of Housefull 2, and wants to turn it into a full-fledged franchise. “I want to make Housefull a franchise as it is very special to me. I will start working on Housefull 3 soon,” he said on a recent visit to the Capital. “I can assure you that Housefull 2 is 10 times more entertaining than the original and the scale of the films is four times bigger," said Sajid.

So was there any pressure?  “No, there wasn’t any pressure. I am very confident about the effort the team has put in. I am so happy that everyone said yes to the film even before hearing the script,” said the 40-year-old. Ask him about the bond he shares with Akshay Kumar as he has been part of his all three films, he says, “We  trust each other completely.. Housefull will always be Akshay’s brand and Akshay will always be special.”

Talking about the much written about fight between sister Farah Khan’s husband Shirish Kunder and actor Shah Rukh Khan, he says, “I know how much Farah loves Shah Rukh and it is vice versa too. Their bond is very strong. Though the bond weakened a bit (over the episode), it never broke. So, it was very important for me to bring them together but I know lot of people were not happy about it.” After Housefull 2, Sajid’s upcoming films include Himmatwala remake with Ajay Devgn and Judwaa 2 with Saif Ali Khan.
