Actor Tusshar Kapoor, who plays a Rajasthani boy from a royal family, in his upcoming film, Chaar Din Ki Chandni, ends up sporting a Sikh look to please his onscreen lady love, played by actor Kulraj Randhawa. Tusshar however sounded anxious about his turban-clad character. “I was more stressed than excited, as I did not want to hurt anyone’s sentiments. Therefore, I tried to be as authentic as I could,” said the 35-year-old, who says that actor Sunny Deol is his favourite onscreen Sikh.
“He is the real sardar, as the machoness and personality that is needed to portray a Sikh character comes easily to him,” he added. Though many raised eyebrows at the remixed version of yesteryears’ hit— Chandni O Meri Chandni, Tusshar is unperturbed. “Critical views are meant for critics. I feel the song is the USP of the film, and we have given it a fresh appeal. Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi ji, who featured in the original, launched our song and were satisfied,” he said.
In his personal life, Tusshar might not be committed, but he maintains that he is still having fun. “I’m not in a serious relationship with any girl, and right now I am in an experimental stage. Once the experiment goes fine, I will announce the final result to the world,” he added. Sikhtusshar Tusshar speaks...Critical views are meant for critics.
