Vidya Balan is a good example of how success changes the persona overnight. The aura that Vidya is flaunting these days is simply amazing and probably her latest market position has prompted the makers of 'Kahaani' to release the film right after 'The Dirty Picture'. Vidya's statements are continuously making headlines and the promos of 'Kahaani' suggest that the film will get a good opening at least. However the success of 'Kahaani' will depend more on the content than Vidya's star presence.

The success of just one film doesn't seem enough even for any Bollywood hero to be sure about the box office success of his next, leave aside the case of a heroine. Vidya Balan has definitely carved a niche for herself with some women oriented roles but she has not reached to a status equivalent to Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan. Not that she is lesser talented than Khans but she still not has a dedicated fan base.
