Sanjay Gupta, known for his dark thrillers, is set to direct his next ‘Shootout At Wadala’ from Thursday and this will be his first movie without Sanjay Dutt. The filmmaker says they have done their share of movies and now it`s time to move on. "It`s not the actors that lessen or increase the impact of the film. As far as Sanju is concerned, we have done our share of movies and it is time to move on and I am moving on," Gupta told reporters here Wednesday
The star cast of ‘Shootout At Wadala’ was unveiled yesterday at Meheboob Studios. The director has roped in Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Sonu Sood, Tusshar Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai, Mahesh Manjerekar and Ronit Roy for the film. Based on gangsters, the film will have abusive language, which might create not go down well with the censor board.
"I am prepared. It is going to be a long battle and we are ready for that. The dialogues are written by Milap Zaveri. The intention is to get a reaction because it`s not the walk and talk film. The film is based on 1970s and the 1980s. The mood is a little reminiscent of the cinema that you experience," Gupta said. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, ‘Shootout At Wadala’ is a sequel to the Apoorva Lakhia directed 2007 movie ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’.
