Actress Kangana Ranuat, who will be playing a gangster's girlfriend in `Shootout at Wadala', says that she drew inspiration from Bollywood diva Rekha and the late Smita Patil for getting the look of the 70s. Kangana plays Vidya Joshi, girlfriend of gangster Manya Surve, who is played by John Abraham.
"I play a Maharashtrian girl. As the film is set in 70s and early 80s...my look is also pretty much similar to that period. We have kept the look as authentic as we could," Kangana told reporters here at the first look of `Shootout At Wadala'.
"For my look I took inspiration from Smita Patil and Rekhaji. Fashion will be there in the film but not over the top," she said. The film, directed by Sanjay Gupta, stars Anil Kapoor, John, Kangana, Tusshar Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ronit Roy.
