In Bollywood it cannot get bigger or better than Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar, two producers who are having a golden run at the BO. And when it’s a co-production, naturally the scale becomes massive. So recently when Karan and Ekta announced their intention to work together, every heroine worth her salt in Bollywood vied to be in the project. But it seems KJo’s close friend Kareena Kapoor is the lucky one.

She has been named as the main lead in Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor’s co-production, a romantic thriller. While Katrina was also being considered for this project, it’s Bebo who has eventually bagged it! If people were wondering why Kareena signed a film at this stage, the cat is finally out of the bag. First, sources say that her wedding had been postponed. Then she apparently opted out of two huge projects, Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express and Milan Luthria’s Once upon A Time In Mumbai Part 2. Obviously the Dharma Productions-Balaji venture, to be directed by Akshay Roy, took precedence. Both Ekta and Karan are considering Emraan Hashmi for the male lead. But the big question is – will Bebo agree to act with Emraan?
