There have been rumours that Deepika Padukone and Sidhartha Mallya have parted ways amidst reports that the actress has been getting close to actor Ranbir Kapoor once again.

Though they have never accepted or denied that they were in a relationship, Deepika and Sidhartha never shied away from making public appearances. However, at the recently held Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Female and Male Awards function the reported ex-lovers had some awkward moments. First Deepika walked into the venue right when Sidhartha was doing a fun photo shoot backstage. Having spotted her ex there, she made a quick exit before there was any awkward moment between the two.

Headlines Today quizzed Sidhartha about his relationship status. "I am single. You don't go looking for love. It happens," he said. When asked specifically about Deepika, he said, "I don't know. You should ask her." While Sidhartha cut it short, Deepika chose to ignore any questions about her ex and her relationship status. "I am happy to be getting this award," Deepika said.

"I am just happy to be doing an Ayaan Mukherjee film with Ranbir, that too a romantic one, it could not get better than that," she said. With Deepika making this statement, it was clear that the Sidhartha-Deepika love saga would not have a happily ever after.
