Producer Ramesh Taurani is angry with the actress for walking out of 'Race 2' ‘Race 2’ producer Ramesh Taurani is on the warpath. A few days ago, the filmmaker filed a complaint with CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) against Deepika Padukone who left his project after shooting for it for six days. The actress had been one of the biggest names in the star cast which included Saif Ali Khan and John Abraham. The second part of the 2009 film ‘Race’ was meant to be more glamourous and expensive than the first one and Deepika was initially excited to be part of the Abbas-Mustan directed venture. But for reasons best known to her, she decided to walk out of the film after signing up for it.

Taurani not only called her ‘unprofessional’ and her action ‘unethical’, he also decided to take legal action and complained to CINTAA which, in turn sent out a message to Deepika, informing her about the filmmaker’s grouse. Apparently, Taurani waited for Deepika to change her mind but she was adamant that she didn’t want to do ‘Race 2’ anymore.

According to the rules and regulations of CINTAA, if an artiste fails to respond to a complaint, the case gets forwarded to FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). And then, if the artiste turns a blind eye to FWICE's decision, he/she is liable to face a NCD (Non-Cooperation Directive).

Thus, if Taurani has filed a complaint against Deepika and he has a contract with her, she will have to honour the dates which she had allotted to him. If she gives the same dates to any other producer, she cannot shoot for the other project. Sources close to the actress denied signing any contract. They claim that Taurani had assured Deepika that the film would be completed by September 2011 but it hasn’t even taken off properly. Now, Deepika had agreed to meet CINTAA General Secretary and FWICE President Dharmesh Tiwari to sort out the matter.
