I am scared of kissing on screen: Bipasha

“I am scared to death of kissing on screen. It’s a nerve-racking experience; I had a very uncomfortable experience in Jodi Breakers with R Madhavan who is a friend,” Bipasha told IANS. “I had to kiss him and because it was important for the film so I didn’t have to be convinced. However, while I knew I would do it, the process is not easy.

“Even for Raaz 3, it’s not going to be easy but don’t scare me from now. When it comes to it, we shall see,” she said. “I, as an individual, find it tough to do. I will do it as it’s my work, but I will be very uncomfortable,” the 33-year-old added. The importance of chemistry

The actor is looking forward to the release of her first romantic comedy Jodi Breakers, which she starred opposite Madhavan, on February 24. This is the first time Basu has worked with Madhavan and she says their on-screen chemistry has got some rave reviews.

“I love Madhavan as an actor. We think alike and the response that the two of us have received has been stupendous. Anyone who doubted us working together will watch the film and come back home convinced of our chemistry. And when you see the film, you want the characters to be together.”

Film expectations Bips is happy with the storyline; “It has good content. The West comes out with a lot of rom coms and they are generally really bad with each one being worse than the other. Sometimes the Indian film industry tends to copy them, but what is nice is that this film has a story which had a proper thought process behind it,” smiles the actor.

Additionally, Basu feels that the film’s concept is also catchy. “Jodi Breakers is a unique film. It’s an unusual concept; there are a lot of couples who are unhappy and they just don’t know how to separate. I believe if they are not happy in a relationship, it is better to get separated and find a new life rather than die in an unhappy marriage.”

However, in real life, Bipasha, who separated from long-time boyfriend John Abraham last year, says her hands are too full to worry about others. “I am a firm believer in love. But I am neither a jodi breaker not a jodi maker. I am dealing with myself and there is too much to deal with,” she said.
