Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has shared his thought with the media over quitting smoking. It has been more than a year now since Aamir has lit a cigarette and the actor says he doesn’t feel any urge for even one puff now. Aamir told the media there was a time when he smoked over 40 cigarettes a day but now he has no plans of smoking again. Khan, who is one of the leading actors in the Bollywood industry, revealed his family was the main reason why he kicked off the dirty habit.
Amir said, “Honestly, my son Junaid and my daughter were getting very annoyed. Kiran and my mother too were constantly telling me to throw my cigarettes and lighters away. There was this day, January 1, 2011, to be precise, when I decided that ‘Enough is Enough’. I can say that four people were instrumental.”
“There is no craving. Trust me, this time I don’t feel the urge to have even one puff if I see anybody smoking near me,” the actor says, adding, “I know it’s difficult to learn to say ‘No’ to things that become a habit with you. But this time my will power is immensely strong and I shall not smoke again.”
Just like Aamir, another Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has also left smoking. Nevertheless, the reason behind Roshan’s quitting smoking was not his family but himself. Hrithik, who left smoking almost three months back, used Alan Carr’s book ‘Easy Way to Stop Smoking’ to get rid of his biggest problem.
Roshan also recommended Alan Carr’s book to every smoker out there who wants to quit. Roshan had said, “I kept checking, and then finally I came across this book Alan Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking, I ordered that book and the day I finished the book was the day I smoked my last ciggie.”
Well, all said and done, it is really a good news for the fans of Aamir and Hrithik. However, when it comes to the King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, he is still battling with it. So, let’s hope SRK, who has millions of fans all over the globe, leaves this harmful habit as well.
