Today is Valentine and Bollywood's first gift, the rom-com, 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' has already released last Friday and stars Bollywood’s latest chocolate boy hero Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
Directed by Shakun Batra for top Bollywood production houses, UTV Motion Pictures and Dharma Productions, the film is a Hollywood type romantic comedy shot in exotic locales of Las Vegas.
The very next week that is 17th February sees the release of 'Ekk Deewana Tha', starring one of the most promising actors in recent times, Prateik, and the pretty Amy Jackson. The trailers and promos promise a very fresh, all out boy-meets-girl romance, which is very realistic and grounded in it’s approach and one that the audience can easily relate to and identify with. But that is not all as the culmination of the month, that is February 24th provides a double whammy and will witness the clash of two very 'different from each other' love stories, 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' and 'Jodi Breakers'.
While the Ritesh-Genelia starrer, 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya', produced by Tips, sees real life couple in reel life, it is basically a rom-com with more emphasis on whacky and zany comedy, just like Tips last runaway hit, 'Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani', although this one is very ‘desi’ in it’s flavour and treatment. 'Jodi Breakers' on the other hand is a love story between two divorce lawyers, essayed by R.Madhavan and the sizzling Bipasha Basu, which takes a look at the dysfunctional romantic relationships that leads to breakups. Here’s is rounding off hoping that this amazing line up that promises a fantastic season of the month of love for it’s patrons one will spell success for all concerned.
