Leaked online videos and snapshots of film scenes seem to have become the hottest ticket to quick publicity in Bollywood. In sync with the fad, video grabs of a lovemaking sequence in Mahesh Bhatt's upcoming film Blood Money, currently doing the rounds on the net, were released by the film's PR on Saturday.
The grabs feature the film's hero Kunal Khemu and veejay-turned-actress Mia Uyeda. In the shots Mia is seen flaunting her booty in a red bra while Kunal is shirtless to show off his lately-acquired muscular frame. The actors are seen sharing a kiss on a bed. The online leak of the Blood Money scenes comes on the heels of of Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri's kissing shot in Rockstar being leaked on the net shortly before the film's release.
Before that, bits of the Shah Rukh Khan-Kareena Kapoor number Chhammak Chhallo from Ra.One went online long before the film's release last year. The Blood Money leak should help the film considering the first promos of the film were released in the theatres recently and have hardly created a buzz.
Kunal has been a regular for the Bhatt camp ever since he shot to fame as a child artist portraying Ajay Devgn's boyhood in the 1998 film, Zakhm. After working as a child actor in Bhatt films such as Angaaray, Dushman and Tamanna, he made his debut as a hero in the Bhatt project Kalyug in 2005.
Blood Money is being touted as major comeback bid for the actor. Mia, the Vancouver-born veejay shot to fame in India as a Kingfisher calendar model in 2007 after a brief modelling stint in Europe. Modelling assignments in India followed but she became a household name anchoring Saturday Night Shuffle on MTV.
Mia, who has also hosted the travel show Maharajah Route, did an item number in Sankat City and a cameo in Tees Maar Khan. On television, she was seen in the Yash Raj-produced soap Khotey Sikkey and as a contestant on Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4. She has also been a cover girl for Elle and L'Officiel.
Mia, however, is not the lead actress in Blood Money. Kunal is paired opposite Amrita Puri, who shot to fame from the 2010 film, Aisha. The film is directed by debutant Vishal Mahadkar. Blood Money, a thriller that tells the story of a young man caught in the murky diamond export trade in Cape Town, is scheduled to open in theatres on March 30.
