Salman Khan’s long term girl friend Katrina Kaif is all set to play a lead role opposite to the King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, in Yash Chopra’s upcoming film ‘Chandni’ and the actress not hesitated at all while praising Sallu’s arch rival. This is the first time Katrina is working with SRK and the actress has insisted that she got a lot of help from the Bollywood Baadshah.

Katrina informed Mumbai Mirror, “I shot with Shah Rukh for five days before my Ek Tha tiger schedule in Cuba. We had never worked before. And I tend to be a bit reserved on the sets. Shah Rukh has shot several times with Yashji. This is my first. But I was made to feel at home from Day 1. Shah Rukh is very helpful. He is helping me understand my character better.”

There were a lot noises in the air about Katrina. It was being said that perhaps Katrina is signing a film with the Tamil superstar, Rajinikanth. However, when asked, the actress rubbished all reports, as she stated she is already very busy and doesn’t have time to do anymore projects.

“I can’t take up any other assignment till this is over. I would be doing injustice to this film if I did. It is best that I surrender completely to this film. I can feel it will be special,” added Katrina. ‘Chandni’ is the remake of the 1989 cult classic of the same name. In the movie Katina will recreate the magic of Sridevi, who starred in the original film.

If reports are to be believed then Katrina’s role requires her to work on her body language. As per the sources in the movie the actress will be seen as a typical Yash Chopra’s seductress, wearing a quintessential chiffon saree. Well, all said and done, it looks as if after the stupendous success of Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’; the trend of remaking movies has once again come back in the Bollywood industry. Nevertheless, let’s see if the new ‘Chandni’ can really overshadow the original one.
