GALI GALI CHOR HAI may be a film about the common man while exploring the theme of corruption and hence one may wonder that it won't quite necessitate a place for Veena Malik's item song 'Channo' or any other elements that creates space to highlight glamour in the film. But, film's leading lady Mugdha Godse promises that in her own limited way, she would up the glamour quotient in the Akshaye Kumar starrer though she isn't sporting a bikini in the film.
"Yes, 100% there would be glam factor attached to the film for sure," laughs Mugdha who was last seen on the big screen in a two piece bikini for HELP (2010), "Of course there won't be any bikini here but then everyone around this common man (played by Akshaye Khanna) comes with his or her own personality trait. I come with my own strength which is being glamorous and that forms an integral part of the film as well."
In this Rumi Jaffery directed film, Akshaye and Shriya Saran play a couple while Mugdha enters their household as a paying guest who makes heads turn. "Since the film is set in Bhopal, arrival of my character, a Mumbai girl, leads to some confusing and entertaining moments for Akshaye's family," divulges Mugdha, "I can't really tell you to what extent does the glam factor set in here but rest assured, it does bring in quite a few laughs for sure.
Rumi sir has a knack of telling a story in a very humorous and interesting way due to which there is a lot of fun that comes with all the misunderstandings." Hope the fun element indeed comes across on screen as well once the film releases all over today on February 3, 2012.
