Bollywood thespian Dilip Kumar says that actor Riteish Deshmukh recently paid him a visit to take his and his wife Saira Banu's hand impression for his upcoming museum called Legends Walk in Mumbai, a desi version of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
"Last week, Riteish Deshmukh, my dear friend Vilasrao Deshmukh's talented son, visited us with his life-casting expert to get impressions of my hands and Saira's hands which will be in a museum he proposes to have for cinema lovers," Dilip Kumar wrote on his blog thedilipkumar.mouthshut.com.
"It took only a quarter of an hour for the team to get the mixture ready and get our hands imprinted on the mould which I am told will be imaged on metal for display in the museum. It is Riteish's brain child and it is his way of telling those of us who spent the best years of our lives entertaining and, hopefully, impacting people's minds through our films, that our hard work and contributions to the growth of the medium have not been in vain," he further posted.
Riteish is set to tie the knot with his long time girlfriend Genelia D'souza on Friday and the 89-year-old wished them saying, "I have heard from my family about Riteish's gift for excelling in comedy. I have known him for some years now as a well bred young man doing his parents proud. I hope to be at his wedding on February 3 and share the Deshmukh family's happiness on the occasion."
Riteish, who is set to launch a Legends Walk in Mumbai soon, has already got the handprints of as many as 25 legendary actors of the Hindi film industry including the likes of Shashi Kapoor, Manoj Kumar, Sadhana and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"Thank you all for being a part of #LegendsWalk- @srbachchan sir, Jaya aunty (bachchah), Rajesh Khannaji, Dharamji, WaheedaJi, Sadhanaji, Manoj Kumarji, Vinod Khannaji, Salim (khan) uncle, Mithun Da, Shashi Kapoor saab, Rishi Kapoor sir, @iamsrk @akshaykumar @beingSalmankhan, Jeetuji (Jeetendra), Asha Bhosaleji, Asha Parekhji. #LegendsWalk thank you guys," Riteish had previously posted.
