The wait finally seems to be over for actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza as they are all set to tie the knot on February 3. The couple met on the sets of Tujhe Meri Kasam nine years ago and they will soon be finally acknowledged as a married couple in a high profile wedding with Bollywood stars in attendance.
Film stars thronged their sangeet ceremony on January 31, 2012. The glittering ceremony, full of songs and dances in Bollywood style, saw the much-in-love couple smiling and posing for the shutterbugs. While Riteish looked dapper in a blue sherwani, Genelia made a lovely bride in a white heavily embellished lehenga.
For the D-day, Ritu Kumar has designed a lehanga, choli and odhni in gold and indigo blue for Genelia. The blouse is made of indigo blue velvet with antique dhapka embroidery, while lehanga has antique gold weaving with zardozi embroidery. The odhni is a subtle mix of gold and indigo blue and the designer feels it will highlight Genelia's petite frame. According to the designer, the ensemble resembles a 19th century archival piece.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh says Genelia will continue to act post marriage. "Well, I dont think there is any reason why Genelia would have to put her acting assignments on hold. It is entirely her call on how she wants to work in years to come. She is an experienced person and professional, she can make her own decisions," Riteish said.
Apart from the wedding, Riteish is also busy promoting his forthcoming film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya with his lady love that will hit theatres on February 24. "I have been very busy. I am promoting my film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and also dubbing for Housefull 2. Then I am also playing in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). To top it up, there are wedding preparation and other plans as well," he said.
