If there was one question on most journalists' minds at the Zee Cine Awards at The Venetian Macao, it was: What will Shah Rukh Khan do when his acting career hits sunset mode? They got a hint from the man himself when he met the press prior to the awards ceremony which he co-hosted with Priyanka Chopra... television, where he started his career.
Shah Rukh said: "I like dabbling in all the mediums. Television is the most important medium in our country. To tell you honestly, I think you have wonderful actors and actresses in television. Acting is not confined by a medium. I am not sure what kind of work I would be offered."
Having started his career in the 1980s as a theatre actor, Shah Rukh made his television debut with the 1988 television series Fauji. Later at the red carpet, tabla! suggested he might add directing to his many roles - actor, producer, cricket team owner - and he said he wasn't sure. "I don't know... it is a very lonely job. So I don't know if I am ready to do it right now or not. I am ready to produce some more, a different kind of cinema. If I find a story that excites me, maybe," he replied.
