After their lacklustre screen outing as a couple in the forgettable Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone will again come together for a Priyadarshan film. The film is being pegged as a family comedy, and will go on floors in July. Deepika and Priyadarshan go back a long way. The actress was supposed to make her debut with the Hera Pheri director, but opted for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om instead.
This led to differences between the two. But they worked out their grudges and Deepika even performed a special number for Priyan's Billu. The upcoming film will spell a double bonanza for the director.
Not only will he finally work with Deepika, he is also psyched about joining forces with Abhishek Bachchan. "Abhishek and I have been planning projects together for the longest time. We were to do a bio-pic on Chandrashekhar Azad. But who watches historical films anymore? I've finally zeroed in on the perfect project for him," he said.
