After India’s Most Desirable, Asin now appears on UTV Star’s Superstar Santa, on which the actress tackles the subject of friendship and helps two youngsters sort out their problems. Playing agony aunt on the small screen was a unique experience for the actress.

Asin says, “Participating in TV shows allows me to interact with the audience directly. In the latest episode of Superstar Santa, I resolved a friendship issue between two friends. As I value friendship, it was an amazing experience.”

On the show she confesses that her friends were very insecure of the fact that she’s in the film industry and that she can’t meet them as often as they want her to. There have been times when this has led to misunderstandings. But Asin has always made it a point to clarify. She even admitted that there have been many times she has apologised despite not being at fault.

Anything for friendship! On her filmy friendships, she says, “There is a myth in the industry that actresses cannot be friends and friendship with film stars cannot be sustained. All I can say is that it is just a myth. We actors get along very well on the sets and share many things like normal friends. Most of the actresses are my dear friends. It’s unfair to name just a few of them.”
