It’s been a year of flops for most heroines in Bollywood. But it’s been an exceptional year for actor Vidya Balan,  who has raked in the moolah with sheer histrionics in The Dirty Picture. On the other hand, had Don 2 not happened to actor Priyanka Chopra this year, she would’ve been ousted from the Top 5 list.

However, the next rung of actors  like Deepika Padukone didn’t score with either Aarakshan or Desi Boyz, while actor Bipasha Basu got a little bit of the limelight with Dum Maro Dum, an average grosser. Actor Asin may have been paired opposite actor Salman Khan in Ready, but just like actor Ayesha Takia, who was paired opposite the Khan in Wanted, she didn’t profit from the film’s super duper success. Actor Sonam Kapoor had a huge flop in Mausam , but her other film release Thank You was an average grosser. It proved to be a good year for smaller heroines like Mahie Gill with films Not A Love Story and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster.
