Actor Shah Rukh Khan may be invincible on reel as Ra.One and Don, but it now seems like the superstar is finding it hard to maintain friendships in real. If buzz is to be believed, King Khan seems to have lost yet another friend to frenemy Salman Khan. And this time, it is apparently businessman turned actor Sachiin Joshi, who has joined actor Sohail Khan’s celebrity cricket team, Mumbai Heroes. The star player of the team is Salman.
Says an insider, “Shah Rukh had introduced Sachiin at the IIFA awards to influential members of the film fraternity present at the awards ceremony in Toronto this year. He also walked the green carpet with him. And it wasn’t surprising as both Shah Rukh and Sachiin have known each other for quite long. The latter has often stated in his interviews that he felt honoured to be introduced to the film world by King Khan.” Shah Rukh, on his part, was also present at Sachiin’s film Azaan’s premiere in Mumbai, earlier this year.
But Sachiin’s latest move to SRK’s frenemy camp has had tongues wagging. A source reveals, “SRK and Sachiin not just shared friendship, but also had business tie-ups including Sachiin’s company’s energy drink being the official drink for SRK’s cricket team. But now that Sachiin has joined Sohail’s team as an important player, he’s apparently started practicing for the tournament along with other players. It surely will bring him close to both Sohail and Salman.”
Industrywallahs claim, “It’s well known by now that both Salman and Shah Rukh have zero affinity for each other. Hence Sachiin’s move has raised many eyebrows, quite similar to what happened with once good-friend choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan. Her closeness to Salman has revealed the differences between her and SRK.”
