Bold and beautiful Bipasha Basu has been one outsider who has successfully established oneself in a highly competitive industry like Bollywood. She has time and again been applauded for carrying the mantle as an independent woman who needs no man to support her. And the actress recently claimed that she is completely in awe of the trend which promotes more and more female centric films.

She was overheard going gaga over Vidya Balan starrer ‘The Dirty Picture’ and praised the team’s attempt of coming up with a bold yet strong concept. “I think The Dirty Picture has opened doors for more female oriented films” said Bipasha. She further stated, “It is a very good thing that a female oriented film has started working so well. But it’s not only about ‘The Dirty Picture’. Rest of the female-oriented films are good as well and are very low budget but people don’t go to see them’.

Bipasha urged Indian filmmakers to come up with more and more interesting woman oriented films; “I wish the Indian filmmakers will make many more interesting female centric films and the men of our country will go and watch them as well” giggles Ms. Basu.
