Madhuri Dixit left the US for good and came back to India thinking that she would make a grand comeback and that the industry would receive her with open arms. But unfortunately, people seem to have little interest in her. The dancing diva who had ruled Bollywood for over two decades is out of work even as she is all set to start her career afresh.

Apparently Mads’s manager had approached a few event organisers to tell them that Madhuri was keen to perform for their shows. But the organisers did not show much enthusiasm on her proposal. Talking to a daily, a source said, “It was an awkward situation for the organisers. They didn`t want to upset her so they simply said that the money wasn`t working out.”

Another source said, “Madhuri is keen to perform at an exclusive event for New Year`s eve. She had the whole performance planned out and was willing to negotiate on the moolah, but the response she received wasn`t enthusiastic. The offers she did get though weren`t exciting enough, so she rejected them.”

However, Rikku Rakesh Nath, Madhuri’s manager denied the news and said, “It`s not true. She is going on vacation with her family. She did get some offers to perform for Rs 2.5-3 crore, but she turned them down.” Well…we don’t know what the truth is but we really wonder if this is how one should be treating a former reigning queen!
