Director Madhur Bhandarkar might have said that Kareena Kapoor was his first choice for Heroine, but actor Priyanka Chopra reveals he was in talks with her too, for the role. “Madhur and I did talk about Heroine. For me it’d have been like a Bollywood version of Fashion. Kareena is the

perfect choice. She’s a brilliant actor,” PC told ETC channel. Rumours mills on the other hand were abuzz that Priyanka refused to do Heroine as she's portraying a smilar role in Kunal Kohli's next. The movie which pairs Priyanka with former lover Shaid Kapoor, reportedly tells a tale of an actress's way to the top in 70s, according to DNA.

"Priyanka is playing a heroine who fights her way to the top and how she is exploited and exploits others en route," a source had told DNA. The names of Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan also did the rounds before Kareena finally bagged the film.
