When actress Bipasha Basu was preparing to fit into her red bikini for a film,she was asked to go through a sweet free diet. Bipasha, who is already off rice for about three years now, apparently found it really hard to stay off sweets.
“Bipasha had to go through a vigorous six-week schedule of diet and gymming to perfect the bikini body. Not only did the filmmakers want a fit body, they didn’t mind her body showing a few muscle cuts. This meant she had to undergo a very strict training programme,” says a source.
Bipasha who already follows a yoga routine has a great figure, but didn’t have any muscle cut on her stomach. “It was a combination training programme that included a lot of training modules and the actor had to apparently train for about 90 minutes every day. But there was one thing that she said she found very challenging – keeping off mithai for the entire period,” the source adds. Being a Bengali, Bipasha has admitted several times that she has a sweet tooth. But the bong bombshell managed to stay off sweets for the entire period.
“Yes she did it and she did manage to get the in the required shape for the shoot. When you look at the shot in Players where she is doing what Halle Berry did in the James Bond film Die Another Day, you will realise that she managed to get the figure that the filmmakers wanted. The scene is more or less the same,” the source ends.
