Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who has recently completed his third film, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, with wife-to-be Genelia D’Souza, is pretty keen to show her and his family the sequel to his 2005 sex comedy, Kya Kool Hain Hum. Kya Supercool Hain Hum has recently gone on the floors and the actor
terms it Sex On Toast.
“We weren’t so open about sex comedies a couple of years ago. But now, we’re a lot cooler with the idea of a laugh-a-thon with perverted jokes and a couple of scenes here and there. It’s true, I didn’t watch Kya Kool Hain Hum with my family because I didn’t know how they would react. But this time, maybe I’ll just have some friends over with me when I watch it with my folks. It may just ease things over,” says Riteish, adding, “We had tried to shy away from calling the previous movie a sex comedy. We thought it would be best to sweep that under the carpet. But this time, we’re ready to face it.”
The film’s sequel has taken over six years to get going. When asked what took so long, Riteish says that initially, there were several ideas thrown on the table, but none looked like they could help take the franchise further. “Sachin Yardi, who wrote the previous one and is directing this one, came up with a hilarious story about the two boys. We were all holding our tummies laughing. When you watch it, you won’t be able to say it’s a sequel. It looks like a completely different film,” says Riteish.
“Sex is an integral part of this film too but I can promise it’s not been used randomly to fill space.” Riteish will be sporting a tattoo, which apparently has been inspired by Saif Ali Khan’s Kareena tattoo and Deepika Padukone’s Ranbeer Kapor's tattoo. The film also toplines Tusshar Kapoor who is building his body to match Salman Khan’s physique from the late 1990s, along with Neha Sharma and Sarah Jane Dias. It went on the floors in November this year and should release in the second half of next year.
