Following break-up with girlfriend Bipasha Basu, actor refuses to comment on personal life, doesn’t want to be irresponsible anymore. A year ago, actor John Abraham would heat up Bollywood circles, thanks to his relationship with Bipasha Basu. But after his break-up earlier this year, he doesn’t want to be Callous and Irresponsible about his private space.

“Now, I fiercely guard my personal life. I didn’t do that in the past. Not everyone is allowed to enter my space,” says John, who is reportedly seeing 26 year old banker Priya Runchal. The actor, who turns a year older tomorrow, has been spending a lot of time with his parents, who a while ago, weren’t keeping well.

Ask John if his parents have been asking him and if he has agreed to tie the knot next year, and he refuses to comment, saying, “I would love to get married because it’s a beautiful institution. I want to be a good husband and a great father one day. But I don’t want to put a date or a time to it in an interview because I really want to protect my personal life. I can’t make an irresponsible comment now.”

The 38 year old actor takes personal offence if he finds himself linked to any girl in a newspaper or on a news channel. “In the past, I have let things go, but now, I want to come across as someone who is serious about his life and career and the way he is projected too,” reasons John.

At the moment, the actor is enjoying certain positive high notes in his professional life. Recently, he hobnobbed with Salman Khan on the sets of Bigg Boss. The actors weren’t known to share a great association. “To be honest, there seemed to have been a problem back in 2006. But after that, neither did Salman speak about it nor did I. So, the problem ceased to exist and it was only carried forward through media reports,” argues John.
