Actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, who is currently busy with the last minute preparations of Don 2, that is set to release on December 23, is simultaneously grooming himself for his sports flick, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The actor will play Indian athlete and the Flying Sikh Milkha Singh.
Taking the character seriously, Farhan has already started training for the part. Every morning, the actor goes to St Stanislaus High School in Bandra for an hour. He warms up for 15 minutes and jogs for the next 45 minutes. Confirming the news, Farhan says, “Yes, I have started with my training for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.”
To be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a biographical sports drama film and since an athlete’s body requires a lot of hard work and sweat, Farhan wants to leave no stone unturned to get into shape. And apart from the post-production of Don 2, he is only working towards achieving his look. “I am at the first set of the training schedule”, says Farhan.
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will be his next film after Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The actor even went to meet Milkha Singh in Delhi, to learn about his experience and absorbed a lot from his body language and mannerism. “I only have a couple of months to completely get into character. The film goes on floors in March,” says the actor.
