This real khiladi of Bollywood steals ‘Kolaveri Di’ from the badshah of Bollywood. Yes, Akshay Kumar has beaten Shah Rukh Khan by striking an early deal with Dhanush and buying the official rights of ‘Kolaveri Di’, a Tanglish song that has become a rage on Internet.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “SRK approached Rajinikanth for the rights of ‘Kolaveri Di’ for the song`s Hindi remake. But much to his surprise, he found out that Akshay Kumar had already bought the rights some time ago. When ‘Kolaveri Di’ first started to become a rage, Akshay immediately sensed its potential and approached Rajinikanth. SRK wasn`t too happy to know that he had lost the song.”

Interestingly, the Tanglish song enjoys a cult status; one wonders what impact the Hindi version of ‘Kolaveri Di’ will have on its fans.
