Enigmatic and charismatic, Bollywood actor Salman Khan is one of his kind who believes in forging his own path rather than following the horde. Recently, Salman Khan stunned filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker with his plain-speak when the latter approached him with a script.
Apparently, Salman patiently heard Ashutosh and then said, “I don`t do good films. I do hit films. I work in films that make money, not the ones that get awards.”
Before Ashutosh could say anything, Salman told the filmmaker, “I arrive in the afternoon and shoot at my own pace. You`re used to working with other actors (read: Shah Rukh, Aamir) who reach the set on the dot at 9 am and work according to your pace.”
Buzz has it that Salman is no longer interested in doing films for friends or bailing out distressed directors. When contacted, Ashutosh did a U-turn on Salman and said. “How I wish that were true. I`d love to do a film with him. No such luck.”
