"I have known Dhanush since he got married to Aishwarya, not to my Aishwarya but to Rajini sir's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. He's a very talented actor and a great singer." Abhishek was quoted by the website. Abhishek also told the website that he'd like to hear the Hindi version of the track in Dhanush's voice.

Abhishek Bachchan had earlier said, "He is a very dear friend of mine, Dhanush. Very famous and very prominent actor from Chennai. Off late, unfortunately they only seem to know him because of Kolavari Di but, he has done great work down there. He is a wonderful actor."
