And now the industry seems to have taken a liking towards the full-bearded sardar look, with top-rung actors getting turbaned for their upcoming films. Commenting on the trend a film-maker says, “Earlier it was in the territory of actors like Dharmendra and Sunny Deol but recent times have seen many younger actors joining the bandwagon.”

After Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is King and Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal turned out to be blockbusters, now it’s Ajay Devgn who’ll be donning the turban in Son of Sardar. The suave Farhan Akhtar will soon follow suit in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. And now, even Tusshar Kapoor is looking at taking up the sardar challenge in his next film Chaar Din Ki Chandni, a romantic comedy. What can we say....it’s raining sardaar men!
