Salman Khan gets entrapped in legal tangleBollywood superstar Salman Khan gets entrapped in a legal issue after an FIR had been registered against him for allegedly assaulting an anti-corruption activist during the promotion of his film in Kanpur in August. The FIR was registered on Tuesday on the orders of a local court.

During the promotion of his film Bodyguard, activist and ex IIT-ian Omendra Bharat and some others crowded around Salman's vehicle to present him a Gandhi cap and requested him to join their agitation. However, they were allegedly assaulted by Sallu's bodyguard Shera and other security personnel, the complainant has claimed.

Indian Express reports inform that DIG (Kanpur) Rajesh Rai said that an FIR has been registered following the order of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate against Khan, Shera and five unidentified persons on a complaint filed by Bharat. An FIR has been registered under various sections of IPC including Sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace). "The matter will be investigated and action will be taken against anyone found guilty," the DIG said.
