Shah Rukh Khan who is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming film, ‘Don 2’ will return to the studios in Jan 2012 to shoot Yash Chopra’s yet-to-be titled romantic flick. SRK said after huge promotional tour for ‘RA.One’, he needed break with his kids but was reminded of the Yash Chopra film. He revealed that it’s a hardcore romantic film and will be on floor by the second or third week of Jan 2012. This will be the first time he will be seen with Katrina Kaif.

Later in April, they will be joined by Anushka Sharma, who’s currently promoting her fourth YRF film ‘Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl’. The film will mark the return of Yash Chopra to the industry after seven years! The film would be 2012’s Diwali release. This will be the second Diwali release for SRK after ‘RA.One’. It is said that Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Don2’ has sold its TV rights to Zee Network for Rs 420 and 450 million. However, the actual figure paid is approximately Rs 300 million.

Shah Rukh will reportedly be playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Tamil film 'Kanchana'. The remake of the film will be directed by the original director-choreographer-actor Lawrence. This will be Lawrence’s B-Town debut.

If things work out well, he will be directing SRK. Well, it can't get bigger for this multi-faceted film personality from the south. Earlier, Salman Khan was supposed to play the hero but now SRK will be the lead. Another buzz is that Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the role of 'Kanchana', a role essayed by Sarath Kumar in the original. 'Kanchana' is a horror flick in Tamil that made waves due to the script having a good amount of comic elements and a reach with audience of all age groups. The film is said to have a strong social message.
