Anushka Sharma, the new darling of YRF, has been making steady progress through the ranks, to a point that she might usurp Rani in the pecking order, though Rani Mukerji has been painstakingly working towards becoming the YRF queen for the better part of the last half-decade.

But Anushka is quick to douse rumours of any such competition between the two, saying she can never think of matching up to a senior pro like Rani. “I’ve not replaced Rani at YRF. Even comparing us is an insult to her. Look at the kind of work she has done. If I become half as successful as her, I’ll be satisfied,” she says, clearing the air.

But given Anushka’s track record with the banner, she certainly seems to be a lucky charm for YRF. “I wouldn’t like to take the entire credit for my success. I think it’s the other way round. It is Aditya and Yashji’s confidence in my work that I’m here. Being a Yash Chopra heroine was always been a dream and it is coming true,” she says.
