Who ever has said that God could not be everywhere so he created mothers was absolutely right. And our very own junior Shotgun Sonakshi Sinha feels it is important to have a day solely dedicated to mothers, who are responsible for creating life on earth.

Discussing what role her mother plays in her life and what she means to her, Sonakshi while talking to a daily said, “It`s nice to have a day dedicated to mothers. But personally, I would celebrate with my mom any time by taking her out on a vacation or doing something together. She likes this day, so I`m happy celebrating it. It`s beautiful.”

On being quizzed if she would like to work with her mother Poonam, who essayed Hrithik Roshan’s Ammi’s role in ‘Jodha Akbar’, the ‘Dabangg’ hottie said, “Of course!”. The star kid further added that she is not as beautiful as her mother. She said, “But I know that she is 70 times prettier than me!”

The stunning beauty praised her mother for sacrificing her career to bring her and her brothers up. “My mother gave up her career to look after her family and it needs guts to make a sacrifice like that”, said Sonakshi.

Talking about her equation with Poonam, Sonakshi said, “Mom and I are very close. She is my friend, philosopher and guide. She played a very important role in keeping us grounded. We were never allowed to use dad`s name to get our way. When dad was a minister, we had security. But mom ensured that we didn`t feel uncomfortable while going to school. She made sure that we led a very normal life.”
