It seems all the talk about her suffering from an eating disorder is finally getting to Anushka Sharma. At a recent media interaction, a compliment about her svelte figure seemed to touch a raw nerve, with the actress launching into a tirade. She fumed that comments about her alleged anorexia and size-zero figure were causing undue stress.
“I don’t take it as a compliment,” she shouted, as the conversation veered away from the stated object of the interaction (which was to promote her upcoming film, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl). In the past too, Anushka has been accused of highhanded behavior, and an eminent industry watcher said, “Anushka thinks that her arrogance will keep the press at bay. But when you are a celebrity, you have to deal with people and their queries. You don’t have to answer personal questions, but the least you can do is be cordial.”
Barely four films old in the industry, Anushka’s tantrums have already become the talk of B’town. But she defends herself saying, “People have the right to call me a bad actor. But it irks me to no end when I’m questioned about my relationships or any other personal stuff.” Do we add your weight to the list of things that irk you as well, Anushka?
