Smitha's brother Naga Vara Prasad filed a writ petition in the High Court, alleging character assassination of her sister, and saying that the family was not contacted by the filmmakers.
According to the petition, Prasad got to know that a film was being made on his sister through television and newspapers, with the title 'The Dirty Picture'.
The writ petition has been filed after issuing two legal notices to Balaji Telefilms, the producers of the film. As the filmmakers failed to reply to the notices, Prasad decided to move the High Court over the issue.
