Talk in the industry circles is that Bipasha Basu and Rana Daggubati have started treating each other as 'more than just friends'. However, for the love birds there may be a shocker round the corner. There are very strong indications that regardless of their personal equation with each other, there may be a professional setback for Bipasha and Rana, what with the makers of their films deciding to pitch their offerings against each other. The films in question are 'Jodi Breakers' and 'Department'.
"It is unfortunate but true. Rana and Bipasha are headed for a clash and they can't be expected to like it even one bit, considering the fact that it was early this year they were paired opposite each other in 'Dum Maaro Dum'. Neither Bipasha nor Rana had any release in the interim period and they would have preferred a solo arrival for themselves. However, call it ironic that they would now have competition from each other", says an industry source.
'Jodi Breakers', which was earlier titled 'Shaadi Fast Forward', is a fun entertainer and features Madhavan as the lead protagonist with Dipannita Sharma and Mrinalini Sharma as the other girls. On the other hand, 'Department' is primarily an all-men saga with Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt towering the cast. However, Rana is said to be the most integral part of the film.
"As of now, none of the two films can be expected to budge from their stand", says an insider, "Madhavan's Tanu Weds Manu had released on 25th February last year and was a huge hit, hence turning out to be his biggest money spinner ever. He wants to replicate the success by arriving exactly a year later on 24th February. On the other hand, 'Department' is the biggest and the costliest film of Ram Gopal Varma since Sarkar Raj (2008). He is all set for a huge comeback with this multi starrer and is sure about bringing Department around the same time."
