Rajinikanth, accompanied by his family members, was in Tirumala on Wednesday evening as a thanksgiving visit after recovering from ailment recently. He offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara and performed various rituals.
Speaking to reporters, he said, "I am thankful to all my fans who prayed for me while I was undergoing treatment. By the grace of the Almighty, I am fine now and took part in the shoot of Ra.One recently. This is a thanksgiving visit to the Lord for answering our prayers."
On 'Rana', his much awaited forthcoming film, the top actor said, "Doctors advised me to rest for another three months before I resume shooting for Rana. My Diwali wishes to all." Rajini was accompanied by wife Latha (who had tonsured her head), daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya, son-in-laws Dhanush and Ashwin, grandsons Linga and Yathra and family friend and veteran Telugu actor Mohanbabu.
Rajini and his family members spent about 30 minutes inside the temple. The Superstar offered Thulabaram to the Almighty. A large number of devotees and fans thronged before the temple complex as news spread that Rajini was in the temple town. Tight security arrangements were in place.
