Most of tinsel town’s new-bees get to share screen space with biggies like SRK and Vikram only after years of struggle. But there’s one new kid on the block, whose cuteness is so irresistible that even the Badshah of Bollywood can't stop raving about her. After winning audiences over in Deiva Thirumagal and impressing Vikram with her outstanding performance, 6-year-old Sarah has scaled new heights after starring with Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan in a curtain and upholstery company’s ad.
Sarah, who plays the role of the couple’s daughter in the ad film, is all excited about meeting her favourite star. “It was so much fun to work with him. I got to learn so much from him but I was surprised when he told me that he was learning acting from me,” little Sarah giggles.
Sarah, the budding actor that she is, made sure that she observed SRK to grasp as much as she could and make the most of working with the star. “It was so nice to see Shah Rukh uncle’s dedication. He seemed to have knee injury as he often complained of the pain. But in front of the camera, he didn’t let the pain show at all.”
She also adds, “SRK uncle was finding it difficult to lift me because of the pain. But he often ignored the pain and played with me.” Spending time with the Khans was certainly an experience of a lifetime for the little girl. “My mom didn’t come with me but Gauri Khan treated me like her daughter.“
“During the breaks, I would play with a huge teddy bear on the sets. SRK uncle noticed that and after the shoot was over he gifted me that teddy bear. I had also told him that I liked listening to stories, so he gifted me a story book,” she smiles. Sarah, who works only on the weekends to make sure that her studies are not affected, says that she doesn’t want to be just another cute kid on the block but wants to be remembered for her performance.
