Ek Tha Tiger release pushed to EidActor Salman Khan does not want to break the chain of good luck that has come his way with his Eid releases in the last three years. After Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010) and Bodyguard (2011), he has now pushed the release of his film Ek Tha Tiger to Eid next year.  Another touted reason behind the delay is a request by fellow star Aamir Khan, as Aamir didn’t want it to clash with the release of his Reema Kagti film.

The Yash Raj production, starring Salman and his ex-flame Katrina Kaif in lead roles, will now be released during Eid instead of its scheduled release on June 1, 2012. “Eid is considered a lucky time for Salman as his previous films, Wanted, Dabangg and Bodyguard, managed to cash in on the festival hype and rake in the moolah at the box office.” said a source at Yash Raj Films. Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Aditya Chopra, Ek Tha Tiger is currently being filmed in Dublin from where it moves to Turkey.
