Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Arjun Rampal starrer Rascals, which is directed by David Dhawan, has taken a good opening at the box office on the first day. The movie released across India on the occasion of Dusshera (Thursday, 6 October), which was a holiday.

The movie's first day net collections stand at approximately Rs 75 million (Rs 7.5 crore). Being released on a holiday worked in the Rascals' favour. While the Thursday release was a limited one, the movie's shows increased on Friday across multiplexes in addition to single screens. On the other hand, the John Abraham starrer Force saw net collections of approximately Rs 210 million (Rs 21 crore) in its first week run across India.
