The only reason why Neelima Azeem, Shahid Kapoor's mom, liked his latest film Mausam was because of his presence. She said: "I went to the premiere of Mausam because of my son Shahid. I really liked his performance. He has really made me proud as a mother. "The movie also marks Neelima's ex-husband Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut. When asked to comment on Pankaj's direction, she said: "I'm not a film critic to comment on anyone's direction. It's a personal question and I don't want to speak about it. I liked the Punjab portion very much. As I said, I just went to see my son's performance. "Meanwhile, Neelima is already through with the script of her upcoming movie, Nawab Nautanki. Speaking about the film she said: "The script of my directorial debut is almost ready. I made some changes in the script to make it relevant to today's times." She also said the movie is not a period film but is character driven and ready to go against the current. So, hadn't she asked son Shahid to act in the film? "I cannot say anything about the lead as of now. I will soon declare it," she added. The film will have Chandan Roy Sanyal, Bhavna Pani and Neelima herself in the key roles.
